COMMUNIQUE
I am pleased to announce the release of the eleven (11) teachers, who were abducted from the campus of PS Kumbo Town on Tuesday 3rd November, 2020.
The Church extends sincere gratitude to all the Christians, the Community and other stakeholders for their massive mobilisation and string efforts that led to the eventual release of the captives.
In the same vein, we welcome the liberation of His Eminence Christian Cardinal Tumi after his sacrilegious abduction. We continue to decry this despicable and devilish act extended even to someone like him which is a gross disrespect to a father of faith and the sanctity of the Christian Faith. Our hope and prayer is that God should forgive the perpetrators.
Once again, the PCC continues to make a clarion appeal to the perpetrators to allow the children pursue their education which is their inalienable right and give peace a chance.
That all the Christians should be vigilant and ensure the preservation and safety of our human and material resources.
May God continue to give us strength, wisdom and a spirit of discernment to overcome the current challenges. May God bring this senseless war to an end.
