WELCOME FIRST SERVICE FOR REV. GERALDINE FOBANG : PCC BELTSVILLE.
Today was a joyful and memorable day at PCC Beltsville as we officially welcomed our new Parish Pastor, Rev. Geraldine Fobang, arriving from Cameroon to continue the great work of ministry among us.
The service began at 11:00 a.m. with songs of praise and excitement as members, elders, and church leaders turned out in great numbers to receive her. After being introduced to the church executives, committee members, and congregation, Rev. Fobang preached her first sermon titled “Sabbath Is for Rest and Service to God” (Exodus 20 : 8 – 11). She reminded the church that the Sabbath is a day not only to rest from labor but also to serve God faithfully, prepare spiritually for the new week, and realign with His purpose.
During the service, Elder Simon-Pierre Teko, the Congregational Chairman, delivered a warm welcome address on behalf of the entire congregation. Rev. Fobang also took time to visit the Sunday School children, introduce herself, and share words of encouragement with them.
A congregational meeting was then held within the service, lasting about 30 minutes, during which church leaders reviewed the budget, income, and expenditures. The meeting reflected the spirit of accountability and progress within the church.
After the session, the service continued joyfully with Holy Communion, thanksgiving, and praises to God. In her closing remarks, Rev. Fobang expressed sincere gratitude for the warm welcome and pledged her full commitment to serve God and the congregation with humility and passion.
She also introduced a new evangelistic vision called Project Andrew, which aims to bring at least 20 new members to the church before the end of the year. She assured the congregation that she is here as their resident pastor fully dedicated to preaching the Gospel and strengthening the faith community.
“Every Saturday, my doors will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for counseling and fellowship,” she added.
The day ended in celebration, photo sessions, and joyful fellowship a true reflection of unity and hope for a new beginning at PCC Beltsville.
