Santa Presbytery and Santa Central Congregation Welcome Rev. Tangyie Festus

Christians of Santa Presbytery and Santa Central Congregation officially welcomed Rev. Tangyie Festus, the newly appointed Presbyterial Secretary, with great excitement on Sunday, February 8, 2026.

The reception took place during a special Divine Worship Service organized to formally introduce him to the Christians, following his Institution and Induction Service held on January 23, 2026, at the PC Synod Office Congregation. The induction was officiated by the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC), Rt. Rev. Miki Hans Abai.

The reception service in Santa was held under the patronage of the Moderator’s Representative for the North West Region, Rev. Ngongan Paul Anyam, who represented the Moderator at the event.

In his homily drawn from Matthew 13:1–9 and 18–23, Rev. Ngongan Paul Anyam called upon Rev. Tangyie Festus and the Christians to be light in a dark world and to serve as good sowers who plant seeds that will bear lasting fruit. He emphasized the importance of faithful service, perseverance, and fruitfulness in ministry, especially in challenging times.

The service was graced by several PCC pastors who are indigenes of Santa Presbytery but currently serving in other Presbyteries, including the Presbyterial Secretary for Mezam, Rev. Teneng Lucas Tah. Also in attendance were elites of the Presbytery, the traditional ruler of Bambili, Fon Afungchwi III, staff of the Presbyterian Education Authority (PEA) led by the Education Secretary’s Representative, Dr. Mbaku Henry, other Presbytery representatives, as well as family members, friends, and invited guests.

A notable highlight of the occasion was the fundraising initiative by indigenes and well-wishers of Santa Presbytery toward the installation of a borehole. This project aims to ensure access to clean drinking water for the Pastor and the Christian community, reflecting a strong spirit of solidarity and practical support for ministry.

The event ended on a joyful note, marked by jubilation and thanksgiving as the reception service came to a close.
