REV. MIKI HANS ABIA (Moderator elect) SIGNS THE POWER OF ATTORNEY, TAKES OVER FROM RT. REV. DR. FONKI SAMUEL FORBA
“The old order changeth, yielding place to new” is a line from Alfred Lord Tennyson’s poem Morte d’Arthur. This describes today’s event of the signing of the Power of Attorney of the Moderator of the PCC.
Rev. Miki Hans Abia, the Moderator elect has appended his signature to the six copy legal document empowering the PCC Moderator as the constitutional head of the PCC. He takes over from the Rt. Rev. Dr. Fonki Samuel Forba whose mandate officially ends on the 31st December 2024.
The event was presided over by Barrister Etta Besong Jr, the senior legal retainer of the PCC in the presence of all PCC administration. The event was witnessed by the Director of Programs at the All African Council of Churches (AACC), Rev. Dr. Lismore Gibson Ezekiel and wife.
The outgoing Moderator described the Rev Miki as safe hands whose name is Hans into whose hands he is handing the church for greater service to humanity.
