โ€œStrengthening the Vision, Edifying the Bonds: Restructuring for Impact.โ€

From Tuesday 13th โ€“ Wednesday 14th January 2026, the Presbyterian Theological Seminary, Kumba (PTS) became a centre of reflection, renewal, and strategic engagement as it hosted a landmark Alumni Conference under the distinguished patronage of the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC), Rt. Rev. Miki Hans Abia.

The Moderator was accompanied by:

  • The Synod Clerk, Rev. Ayuk Solomon Eta
  • The Secretary, Committee of the Ministry, Rev. Emmanuel B. Masok
  • The Scholarship Secretary, Rev. Numfor Godwin

The conference brought together the hierarchy of the Church, selected Presbyterial Secretaries, and batch coordinators, united by a common commitment to the growth and sustainability of PTS Kumba.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ In his opening address, the Moderator delivered a compelling keynote titled:
โ€œLet Us Return and See: Strengthening the Vision, Edifying the Bonds, and Restructuring for Impact,โ€
calling on alumni to renew their sense of ownership, responsibility, and partnership with their alma mater.

๐Ÿ“˜ The Dean of PTS Kumba, Rev. Dr. Kang Felix Esoh, presented the institutional updates and statement of purpose, highlighting current reforms, future directions, and the strategic place of alumni in the Seminaryโ€™s mission.

๐ŸŽ“ An enriching academic presentation was delivered by Rev. Prof. Epiemembong Louis on the theme:
โ€œThe Role of Alumni Associations in Strengthening Theological Institutions in Africa,โ€
underscoring the critical role of alumni networks in institutional strengthening and theological formation.

๐Ÿ” Further reflections on the state of the PTS Alumni Associationโ€”its challenges, opportunities, and futureโ€”were presented by Rev. Emmanuel B. Masok, paving the way for honest dialogue and strategic planning.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ Participants engaged in group work sessions, generating practical proposals toward restructuring the Alumni Association for greater impact.

โœจ The conference concluded with a closing charge by the Moderator, urging participants to translate vision into action and commitment into sustainable structures.
