The Moderator of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Africa in Uganda the Rev Mabonga Robert has been Instituted and Inducted into office.
The induction service officiated by the Moderator of the PCC – the Rt Rev Dr Fonki Samuel Forba took place at the Bungokho congregation in Mbale District of Eastern Uganda, Sunday Feb 18th 2024.
Preaching at the event, the Rt Rev Dr Fonki described his colleague as a humble, determined and faithful servant of God and admonished him never to feel inadequate because God has called and qualified and equipped him for service.
He was handed a stole and a pectoral cross as symbols of authority and at the same time a sign of the vision bearer of the Church and burdens of the Christians heaped on him which he must always carry to the Lord in Prayers.
The Rev Mabonga whoes name changed to Rt Rev Mabonga has been in office for over 10 years without being inducted because the Church in Uganda is just rejuvenating from a leadership crisis which destabilized the Church.
Reason why the visit of the PCC Moderator has been described by the Rt Rev Mabonga as
“God’s answered prayers for the rebirth of the Church and promised that he and the remnant pastors and Christians shall hold on to the plough steadily”
This unique event also saw the dedication of elders who also pledged their loyalty of service to God.
Stay tuned for continuous updates
