The Reception Service of the Presbyterial Secretary for Lebialem Upper Banyang Presbytery (LUBP) was held today, Sunday 8th February 2026, at PC Fotabe Congregation.
The Presbyterial Secretary, Rev. Nformi Valentine Ndinwa, who was inducted on 23rd January 2026 at the Synod Office alongside fourteen (14) other Presbyterial Secretaries by the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC), the Rt. Rev. Miki Hans Abia, was officially received during a solemn Divine Service.
The service was presided over by the Moderator’s Personal Representative, the Secretary of the Constitution Committee of the PCC who doubles as the General Secretary for CEPCA/CPCC, Rev. Prof. Mbengu David Nyiawung.
Preaching from Matthew 13:1-9 & 18-23, Rev. Prof. Mbengu delivered a compelling sermon based on the Parable of the Sower. He presented the Presbyterial Secretary as a sower sent by God, reminding him that the congregations contain four types of soil. He encouraged him to use the language of a good pastor; one who not only plants the seed of God’s Word but also nurtures and follows it up until it bears fruit.
It is worth noting that the Moderator’s Personal Representative arrived in Fotabe on Saturday 7th February 2026 and was warmly received by the Presbyterial Secretary, and Pastors of the Presbytery.
The service was graced by some PCC Pastors who are indigenes of the Presbytery but currently serving in other presbyteries, alongside, some elites, traditional rulers, as well as family members, friends, and invited guests.
